North Bethesda is located in Montgomery County, MD. Bounded by the Beltway (I-495) on the south, I-270 on the west, Montrose Road on north, and Rock Creek Park to the east, it has been a recognized master-planned sector of the county since the early 1950s. The zipcode, 20852, is shared by parts of southern Rockville, which is north of North Bethesda. There are two Red Line Metro stations within the borders, White Flint and Grosvenor.
This area is experiencing explosive growth and development, and has been the focus of county attention for job growth, transit, housing density, and a concentration of recreational and cultural amenities.
