North Bethesda Neighborhoods

North Bethesda is located in Montgomery County, MD. Bounded by the Beltway (I-495) on the south, I-270 on the west, Montrose Road on north, and Rock Creek Park to the east, it has been a recognized master-planned sector of the county since the early 1950s. The zipcode, 20852, is shared by parts of southern Rockville, which is north of North Bethesda. There are two Red Line Metro stations within the borders, White Flint and Grosvenor.

This area is experiencing explosive growth and development, and has been the focus of county attention for job growth, transit, housing density, and a concentration of recreational and cultural amenities. Planners are in the process of developing a new master plan, taking into account projections for future growth that exceed previous plans. Housing includes numerous high-rise luxury condominium communities, some garden-style condominiums, rental communities, townhouses, and several prominent detached home neighborhoods. Detached neighborhoods include Luxmanor, Old Farm, Tilden Woods, Walnut Woods, Old Hickory Woods, Wickford, Garrett Park Estates, Randolph Hills, and the historic village of Garrett Park.
